Jedox 2020.3 enables anyone building applications in Jedox to design an interactive experience for end-users with ease. And the all-new, hyperflexible Lists take ad hoc reporting and analysis to another level. Read more about Actions and Lists below, and stay tuned for further highlights of Jedox 2020.3 in our 2020.3 blog series.

New Jedox Actions

Easily create interactive reports

Jedox empowers planning and performance management process owners in finance and other business functions. These power users can design Jedox applications independently of IT with a bit of technical knowledge, mainly building upon their analytics skills in Microsoft Excel. When designing new applications, there are a number of commonly performed actions by end-users, such as adding or deleting a product element, when they enter their budgets or forecasts. These typical actions can be built directly into interactive Jedox reports. To make this even more comfortable for application designers, Jedox 2020.3 offers a wide selection of pre-defined form elements, such as buttons, check boxes, date pickers, combo boxes and dialogues for actions. These can now be easily added to a report by selecting the action, configuring it, and placing it in the report – no macro code required!

Add A Button To Execute A Data Integration Task To Your Report Actions

A few examples of new pre-built Actions with form elements in Jedox 2020.3:

  • Read and write cube values – read a value from a cube and set the value into a named range or variable in your spreadsheet. Or, write from a spreadsheet, named range, or variable directly back into the cube. The Write action can also incorporate an optional pop-up dialog where the end user can enter data.
  • Create and delete elements – allows users to delete elements in a dimension or create new ones, such as adding new products or employees during the planning process.
  • Upload documents – allows users to upload supporting documents. File types and maximum file size can be defined by the power user.
  • Integrator Load – users can execute Integrator projects and jobs with a form element.
  • Further actions include Recalculate, Logout, Action Hyperlinks, and more.

New Jedox Lists

Hyperflexible self-service reporting and analysis with combined dimensions

Create A Custom View With Hyperflexible Lists

Create a custom View with hyperflexible Lists.

Jedox is closing the gap between self-service reporting and formatted standard reporting to increase productivity and speed up planning and reporting cycles. The new Jedox version 2020.3 takes the flexibility of Jedox Views for self-service, ad hoc reporting to greater heights. With the new hyperflexible Lists feature, Jedox users can select ANY combination of elements from one or multiple dimensions (non-cartesian element lists) for their View. The List View stays dynamic and reacts when changes are made to the View header. For formatting and styling, users can select from predefined or custom corporate View Themes and easily share the finished View-as-Report with other users.

See the  Release Notes 2020.3  in the newly designed Jedox Knowledge Base for a full description of all new features and updates. The latest Jedox version is available for testing as a cloud trial version on our website. To see new Jedox Lists in action, please select Features “Preview” in Application Settings.
